About the Barn South Wedding Venue
Barn South is a modern wedding facility with Southern charm! Owners Mark and Rachel Campbell designed this venue to be an experience for couples, friends, and family. The venue opened in the small town of Talmo in May 2020. While it wasn’t the ideal time for weddings, many couples started filling the books to have small ceremonies. The building was so expansive it became the ideal space for socially distanced weddings over the next year. Since then, it’s become a fabulous destination for couples seeking a unique space with premium amenities.
Details of the Grounds
Barn South provides both indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony. The venue sits on 13 acres and offers paved walkways overlooking open prairie for temperate outdoor weddings. The building is open inside, with white walls reaching from the sealed concrete floors to the raftered ceiling. You’ll be able to make the space your own while still having a traditional barn feel.
The venue gives you the option for both indoor and outdoor receptions. Barn South provides farmhouse tables and wooden cross-back chairs, and you’ll have plenty of space for dancing no matter where you hold your reception.
The exterior has a patio with cafe lights and seating. You’ll be able to bring in a licensed bartender for signature cocktails.
The interior space provides a bridal suite with a private bathroom where you can get ready before the ceremony. Barn South has renovated an Airstream as a groom’s room. You’ll have a TV, a bathroom, a refrigerator, and a bar sink.
The venue will hold up to 250 guests for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies.
The interior is climate controlled and lit with large windows and elegant chandeliers. Your caterers will have access to a prep kitchen with a refrigerator and a triple prep sink. The exterior patio has granite cocktail tables and gorgeous natural wood finishes.
Photography Opportunities
Because the property sits amid open Georgia pastures and towering trees, you’ll have plenty of exterior spaces for group pictures and couple portraits. The interior has strategically placed windows to let in plenty of light. The groom’s airstream is also perfect for some pretty charming pics!
Wedding Details
Because the venue has no designated caterer, you can bring whatever cuisine suits you best. The facility and parking lots are ADA accessible, and the site has indoor bathrooms. They have multiple arbor options and will set up and break down the tables for you on your day. You’ll be given special access to the facility with your photographer for a scheduled day before your ceremony.
