About The Wheeler House Wedding Venue

The Wheeler House was built in 1906 and renovated and restored in 2010 by the current owner Lee Lusk. In 2012, he added the gorgeous event barn as an alternate space for grand and romantic weddings, sitting between three historic oak trees on the property. Nestled on a nearby hill are the Wheeler Cottages, initially built for employees of the original Wheeler Lumber Yard that have changed into airy and spacious accommodations perfect for hosting newlyweds or wedding parties. 

Details of the Grounds

To begin your wedding day at the Wheeler House, you and your wedding party will get ready for the day in the spacious Bridal Suite, complete with a private bathroom and a claw foot tub that is original to the house (in case you want to take a relaxing pre-wedding soak to prepare for your big day.) Your partner and their party can unwind in a private climate-controlled suite in the barn, with a tv and access to a billiards room in the main house. 

Then, for your ceremony, you can say “I do” beneath The Wheeler House’s gorgeous arbor. You can decorate this spacious and airy frame with elegant drapery, chandeliers, and greenery or florals that tie in your wedding color palette and aesthetic. The space can accommodate up to 300 guests, so there is plenty of room to celebrate with everyone important to you and your partner. 

You can also exchange vows in the beautiful (and climate-controlled) Barn. However, many couples save this space for their reception (and some may choose to host their reception beneath the outdoor arbor!)

The Barn was built in 2012 to complement the main House, and its rich wooden interior features a magnificent stone fireplace, grand chandeliers, a loft area, and a spacious patio and outdoor deck. The interior also features grand, flowy draperies that add an extra air of elegance and the perfect balance of rustic and sophisticated.

The Wheeler House works in wedding packages, and they’ll help build you a custom package that suits your every need! However, they require you to use their exclusive caterer, baker, and entertainment vendors. Still, they include the cost of all three in your wedding package! There’s no need to worry, either; their exclusive vendors have proven time and time again that they are professional, exceptional, and they know how to make a wedding truly spectacular. 

They also provide all of the dramatic drapery in the barn and throughout the arbor, as well as chairs and tables that you’ll need for your ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour.
